Saba Kitiashvili, the winner of the Best Sommelier of Georgia 2024 competition, will proudly represent Georgia at the World Sommelier Competition in Lisbon in 2026.
"First of all, I am very happy and grateful to every person who supported and encouraged me yesterday. It feels great when years of hard work bring results, and you achieve your goal," said Saba Kitiashvili.
In the final, along with Saba, Teona Tokhadze and Rezi Tsetskhladze participated, demonstrating high professionalism and a deep love for wine.
The contestants were judged by a panel of well-known and recognized professionals in the wine field.
The event was held on October 9 by the Georgian Sommelier Association with the support of the National Wine Agency. Its aim is to promote the professional development of sommeliers and the popularization of Georgian wine on the international stage. Events like this significantly strengthen Georgian wine's position on the global wine scene.
